Wine-MAKING
TOUR & TASTINGS

Stand beside the masters to learn the ins & outs of this region’s terroir. Taste bold red wines and decadent artisan delights, while discovering a Chianti castle dating back 1000yrs.+

TRUFFLE HUNT

Join an expert truffle hunter and his dogs through a quintessential Tuscan forest. Learn about the traditions, history and legends of this precious Tuber. As final reward, enjoy a special truffle tasting lunch.

SAMPLE SCHEDULE

The retreat brings 7 full days (and six epic nights) of transformational workshops, discussions, discoveries, connections and plenty of fun in one of the most enchanting regions of the world. Each day is dedicated to the retreat theme, set by the Leader facilitator.

We will meet at our rendezvous point in Florence, and be transported by private shuttle to our Villa, a fifteenth century estate surrounded by hills, vineyards and olive groves.

You may check-in at the Villa and unpack before a brief orientation and aperitif, followed by a nourishing welcome dinner.

Dinner will be served under the stars or in the Villa’s seventeenth century dining room. You will feel like royalty!

During our first full day at the Villa, we’ll settle into the beautiful Tuscan countryside. After mindful movement in the morning, then breakfast, we’ll have our first introduction to Italian culture & lifestyle, led by your host Graseilah Coolidge. She will share insights gained from her 20 years of experience traveling throughout Italy. Italians eat pasta, drink coffee, eat gelato, and still manage to have one of the highest concentrations of healthy centenarians in the world! We all could learn a few lessons from the Italian lifestyle.

After lunch, you will have the first part of the afternoon free to rest and enjoy your surroundings. Before dinner, our villa Maitre d’ will take us on interesting tour of the I Bonsi Estate for an olive oil and wine-making tour. We will learn the hidden secrets of making one of the purest and most prestigious olive oils in the world.

Our Villa happens to be the birth place of an exquisite category of olive oil — known as “Laudemio.” Olives are sustainably and organically grown, and this oil has the most rigorous certification for olive oil production in Italy. Only 10 families in the whole country have been honored with this label, to date. 

Let your palate decide! Tour will be followed by wine and olive oil tastings. We will also enjoy afternoon herbal infusions, while mingling with new friends.

We will join our mindful movement expert in the morning, followed by a leisurely breakfast with our new community. In the late morning, we will meet featured expert and join their workshops.

Workshops will be followed by lunch, then we will venture out to the nearby hills of Montespertoli where we will join a professional truffle hunter and his dogs for a mushroom hunt experience. 

Back at the Villa we will have yet another Tuscan feast waiting for us under the stars.

Yet another epic morning with mindful movement and a leisurely breakfast overlooking the gardens of the Villa.

In the late morning, we will join featured experts for a discussions on mindfulness and strategies to cope with sensory overload in our fast-paced reality. Workshops will be followed by lunch, siesta and relaxation. 

Before sunset, we will join our leader facilitator for a mindfulness practice and joint discussion on Ancient Wisdom vs. Modern Technology. Medicinal tea happy hour will follow.  

Participants will share an evening of poetry and storytelling, while enjoying an Epic delicious dinner and fine conversation.

In Italy, having a love for food means you also have a love for those you are preparing it for!  Our last supper will be a joint effort and interactive experience! We will join International Chef Marianto making traditional Italian dishes that the centenarians of this land have enjoyed for generations. Followed by an Epic dining experience to be remembered.

Morning mindful movement, followed by a leisurely breakfast with our community. 

Today we will have our final all-group circle. Our leaders will share important feedback, filled with personal insight and encouragement for each participant.

We plan to check-out from our beloved Villa and leave shortly after lunch. We will be back in Florence by dinnertime (time will depend on traffic). 

Some will travel to other destinations or homeward bound. We recommend that you stay in Florence for at least one last night after the retreat.
